It is very important to have a well designed ebook cover. Having a nice ebook cover will make you look more professional and will draw more attention to your ebook, which in turn will result in more sales for you. Here are a few tips to help on your way to having the perfect ebook cover.

1. You will need a good image editing program.
You have to start somewhere, and it all begins with your graphics program. There are some very advanced ones available, but they are not necessary. I recommend a program such as Paint Shop Pro or Micrografx Picture Publisher 8. For more advanced designs I recommend either Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Fireworks MX.

2. So you have limited skills with graphics programs. Thats ok.

3. Pay someone else to do it for you
If you have absolutely no skills in graphics design and want a professional looking cover, this is your only option. Even if you do have the skills to make a decent looking cover, you still may want to consider paying someone to do it for you as the results are outstanding and very professional looking.
